Lowell Five Bank announces the Andrew J. Zabierek Foundation as the Q3 2018 employee charitable giving award recipient

Tewksbury, MA – The Lowell Five Employee Charitable Giving Committee is proud to announce that the Third Quarter 2018 Lowell Five Charitable Giving Award recipient is The Andrew J. Zabierek Foundation (ajzfoundation.org), a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Massachusetts veterans by supporting their continued education. The Foundation is named in memory of Lance Corporal Andrew J. Zabierek, a Marine from Chelmsford, MA who was killed in action in Iraq. Established by members of Lance Corporal Zabierek’s family and local community leaders out of the desire to create something positive from his passing, the Foundation’s mission is to continue the legacy of sacrifice and service that Andrew’s memory inspires.

On Thursday, November 1, 2018, a group of representatives from the Employee Charitable Giving Committee had the opportunity to meet Lance Corporal Zabierek’s father, Stephen Zabierek and to present The Andrew J. Zabierek Foundation with a check for $7,800. The award represents the total Employee Elected Charitable Payroll Contribution for the 3rd Quarter of 2018, equally matched by Lowell Five Bank.

“The Board members of the AJZ Foundation are proud that the employees of the Lowell Five Bank have chosen to honor of LCpl. Andrew Zabierek by their generous donation.
