Is it a scam?
Scams are everywhere - by phone, email, text, or social media. Scammers are dishonest people who want your money or your personal information.
Some scammers lie to convince you to send them money. Others try to steal details like your bank username and password, credit card number, or Social Security number. They want this information so they can impersonate you and use your accounts or open new ones in your name.
Here's how to spot a variety of scams.
