Lowell Five Donates $10,000 to the Town of Chelmsford for New Digital Sign at the Chelmsford Senior Center.

Lowell, MA   David E. Wallace, President and CEO of Lowell Five, is pleased to announce that the Bank recently donated $10,000 to the Town of Chelmsford for a new digital sign for the Chelmsford Senior Center.

“The Town of Chelmsford appreciates Lowell Five’s generous donation towards the purchase and installation of a new outdoor electronic messaging sign at the Senior Center.” said Chelmsford Town Manager Paul Cohen.  “The sign will enhance the Council on Aging’s ability to communicate with seniors, while adding an impressive identifier to the building.  The Lowell Five continues to be a strong supporter of the Town’s elder programs.”

According to their mission statement, “Chelmsford Senior Center-Council on Aging strives to provide and promote advocacy and support systems which empower older adults and disabled citizens to maintain independence, prepare for life changes and improve quality of life. We hope to enrich the experience of healthy aging. The Chelmsford Senior Center is home of the Town’s Human Services Department and all of the services it provides to adults over 60, disabled individuals, and their families.”

“As a community bank, we strongly believe in giving back to the areas in which we serve.   We applaud the efforts of the Council on Aging in providing necessary services and programs to senior citizens from Chelmsford and surrounding communities.  We are happy to assist in any way that we can.” said David Wallace.
